Leather Cleaning Guide

Cleaning is a vital part of the preperation prior to the protector being applied.

This article is a step-by-step guide to leather cleaning and protection.

Please read all of the notes at the bottom before you start the cleaning process.

Apply enough foam cleaner for the area you are cleaning / preparing.

Agitate with a soft shoe brush or foam block. Never use anything stiff like a nail-brush. Just soft bristles to get in to the grain and lift out dirt and grime.

Clean off with a soft towel until no dirt is left. If this is repeated every 3 months or by the season its a breeze to do.

The leather should look much better now.

Summary / Notes

Next is to apply the leather protection cream which is like a scotch guard for leather. Helping prevent grime, stains, and dye transfers penetrating the finish.
